في زمنٍ تتسارع فيه الحياة وتتغيّر القيم، تقف الأم اليوم في مفترق طرق: بين تربية قديمة علّمتنا الاحترام والانضباط، وتربية حديثة تدعو إلى الحرية والتعبير عن الذات. كلّ جيلٍ يظن أنه الأفضل، لكن الحقيقة أن الحكمة لا تنتمي لزمن، بل لِقلبٍ يُحسن الإصغاء لأطفاله.

In a world where life moves fast and values keep shifting, today’s mother stands at a crossroads: between traditional parenting that taught us respect and discipline, and modern parenting that celebrates freedom and self-expression. Each generation believes it knows best, yet the truth is that wisdom doesn’t belong to a time, but to a heart that truly listens to its children.

🕊️ التربية القديمة---Traditional Parenting : 

 

جذور من الصبر والانضباط في الماضي، كان التركيز على الاحترام والطاعة، وكانت الكلمة الأولى والأخيرة للأهل. رغم قسوة بعض الممارسات، إلا أن تلك التربية غرست فينا قيمًا قوية: المسؤولية، الصبر، والالتزام. لكن في المقابل، كان الخوف أحيانًا يطغى على الحب، فتُكبت المشاعر ويُخشى الخطأ.

In the past, parenting was all about respect and obedience, and parents had the first and final say. Despite the strictness of some practices, that upbringing planted deep values in us: responsibility, patience, and commitment. But at times, fear overshadowed love, emotions were suppressed, and mistakes were not welcomed.

🌱 التربية الحديثة--- Modern Parenting: 

الحرية بثمن الوعي اليوم تغيّر المشهد. أصبحنا نمنح أبناءنا مساحة للتعبير، ونشجع الحوار والمشاعر. لكن بين الحرية والدلال شعرةٌ رفيعة؛ فعندما تغيب الحدود، يفقد الطفل الإحساس بالمسؤولية. التربية الحديثة جميلة حين توازن بين الحب والتوجيه، لا بين “اتركه يفعل ما يشاء” و“لا تقل له لا أبدًا”.

Today, the scene has changed. We give our children space to express themselves, we encourage emotions and dialogue. Yet, between freedom and indulgence lies a fine line — when limits disappear, children lose their sense of responsibility. Modern parenting is beautiful when it balances love and guidance, not when it swings between “let them do whatever they want” and “never say no.”

 الحياة لا تحتاج إلى اختيار طرفٍ واحد، بل إلى تربية تجمع بين دفء الأمس ووعي اليوم. أن نعلّم أطفالنا الاحترام، لكن بلغة الحب. أن نوجّههم، دون أن نكسر أرواحهم. فالأم الذكية لا تتبع موضة في التربية، بل تصنع أسلوبها الخاص الذي يشبهها ويشبِه أبناءها.

Parenting isn’t about choosing one side; it’s about blending the warmth of yesterday with the awareness of today. Teaching respect with love. Guiding without breaking spirits. A wise mother doesn’t follow trends in parenting — she creates her own way, one that fits her heart and her children.
